Adobe Reader Won't Install On Vista?
If you can't get Adobe Reader to install on a computer running Vista, you'll need to turn on the User Account Controls. Go to the "Control Panel" and under "User Accounts" select Turn "User Account Control" on. Restart the computer and the installation should finish.
Phishing With A Hook
Phishing is the process of sending out emails in hopes of tricking a few people into giving out their personal information. Don't be one of those people. Your bank or other major institutions won't ask you for this information in an email. Also, if you follow an email link, check to be sure the URL address is real. If in doubt call the company in question.
Check Your Hard Disk Space
Go to your desktop. Double click on the "My Computer" icon. Right click on your hard disk (usually drive C). Click "Properties" to see the amount of disk space left on your computer.
Zoom In With IE7
While browsing the Net you might have noticed a magnifying glass and a "100%" sign in the lower right corner of your monitor. Click on the little down arrow and then click "Custom." You can set your magnification up to 1000%.
Computer Stopped Responding, How Do I Shut It Down?
First, try holding down the CTRL, ALT and DELETE buttons. The Task Manager should appear and you might be able to shut down just the application that's in trouble. If not, press the ON button on your computer and hold it until it shuts off.
