Open Files With One Click
Change two clicks to one. Click "Start," click "My Computer." Under the "Tools" menu, click "Folder Options..." Now click the "General" tab in the dialog box, click "Single-click" and then click "OK."
Need More Space In Your Taskbar?
Right click in your taskbar open space. Click on "Lock the taskbar," to unlock it if already locked. Move your cursor to the top edge of the taskbar until you get a vertical cursor. Pull up to enlarge.
Tell Your Files Which Programs Should Open Them
In Explorer, highlight the file. Hold down the Shift key and right click the file. Choose "Open With" from the menu. Make sure you check the save box.
Decipher Those Cryptic Error Messages
Go to the Microsoft Knowledge Base and type in part of the error message and search.
Turn Off The Tabs Browsing Feature
Open Internet Explorer and click on "Tools," "Internet Options," and under the "General" tab click on "Tabs/Settings." In new window click on "Enable Tab Browsing" to disable it. Click "OK," and reopen Internet Explorer.
