Locking Your Computer

Press the "Windows icon" key plus "L" to temporarily lock your computer. Use your Windows password to unlock it.


Avoid Finicky CDs

...today's flash drives, which have no moving parts, are coming down in price. Instead of keeping or sharing files via CDs try using a flash drive. You just plug it into your USB drive and it shows up under "My Computer" as one of your drives.


What is my home worth?

Go to www.zillow.com and put your address in the window. The figures are based on your town's estimated value of your home.


Wanna Change Your Mouse Pointer?

Click "Start" then "Control Panel." Click "Printers and Other Hardware." Click "Mouse." Click on "Pointers" tab. Pick a cursor style.


Wanna Drag & Drop Without the Drag?

Click "Start" then "Control Panel." Click "Printers and Other Hardware." Click "Mouse." Under the "Buttons" tab click "Turn on Clicklock." You will no longer need to hold the mouse button down while dragging your items.
