Comment:
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a second monitor? What would you use it for? Perhaps you work with spreedsheets and more screen space would be of use.

The Cool Factor
|
Maybe there's a Web page or email application you'd like to keep in view while working on another application. The See2 has made it possible to accomplish this without opening your computer and installing a second display adapter.
The See2 unit is about 4.5" by 2" in size. You merely plug the See2 into your computer's USB 2.0 port. Plugging into one of those satellite multi-port USB units may not work. Then you plug your monitor, CRT or LCD, into the See2 unit. Install the software and your done. Finding room on your desk for another monitor is a topic for another day.
After installation your second monitor will only show your desktop wallpaper. There will be no icons or taskbars showing. Don't let that fool you. To place objects on your second monitor you merely click on them in your primary monitor and then drag them over.

Try going verticle.
|
By default your second monitor will be to the left of your original monitor.
In other words your mouse cursor will slide off the left side of your original screen then appear on the right side of your second monitor. But you can change this arrangement by clicking on the "Settings" tab in the "Display Properties" window.
The downside to this convenience is the lack of speed compared to a real display adapter's performance. Gamers would not be thrilled with this setup. But if you'd like to leave a Web page or wordprocessing application running on a second monitor you'd be fine.
If you're not afraid to work inside your computer you can try installing a secondary graphics card into a free PCI slot instead of using the See2.
