COMMENT: In
the unlikely event you have a digital camera without editing software, or that software is too complex, or you
just want to edit images sent to you, EasyShare is appropriately named.
By pushing a few buttons you can edit shots, print them, order prints online, email your photos, create slide shows,
add picture captions, organize your gallery by keywords.
Granted, these are hardly technological breakthroughs, but that's
not why

folks buy Kodak EasyShare systems. They want to push a button, get a photo, take out the red eye, print it, send
it to family and friends.
The first time you use Kodak EasyShare you are asked to create a collection, which includes all the pictures located
in the My Pictures folder and those in any other folders you choose. You can then view that collection by "Last
acquired," "Entire collection," "By date," "By keywords" which is very handy;
only those pictures you have designated as favorites. It's from this collection where you perform all other functions.
Editing options are basic but adequate: adjust brightness, contrast and

exposure; apply "fun effects" such as sepia tone, cartoon looks, fish eye distortion; change compression;
crop; automatically adjust color balance and contrast; remove red eye; rotate; undo all your edits up to the last
saved version and redo your edits in the order in which they were undone; zoom to aid in editing.
You can use Kodak EasyShare to email pictures and video clips (MOV files) in your collection. If you are sending
email to an America Online or CompuServe recipient, multiple attachments are automatically separated into individual
emails with one attachment per email.

Kodak EasyShare allows you to order photographic-quality prints of your digital pictures using online print services
provided by Kodak's partners. Once you've set up an account, just select the pictures from your collection you
wish printed and click another button.
A feature more software should have: KODAK Software Updater automatically checks the Kodak Web site. When an upgrade
is detected, a message notifies you it is available.
RATING:
Considering the price, it's a heck of a deal.
